Famous Cupcakes

So my girlfriend Kim K. has done it again. I told you before that she and her beautiful sisters have this whole campaign for their favorite cupcake bakery, Famous Cupcakes in Beverly Hills. Well wouldn't you know not only does she have her own cupcake, but now she also has her own D-I-Y cupcake mix.

Now normally you know I would be completely against this. Really, because from scratch is where it's at! I don't fool around with mixes, but that's just me. I don't judge. However for my semi-homemade kitchenistas this is a totally cute idea. The kit comes with enough mix for 18 of Kimmie's favorite "VaVaVa Nilla" cupcakes, cupcake liners, pink sugar crystals and a recipe for pink buttercream frosting. Not intimidating at all; even to the meekest of bakers. So step up ladies don't be shy. No one has to know it's from a box. I won't tell. I may even order a box, you know, just to test it out.

It is Kim Kardashian. Love her!

Blonde Bombshell...

So What comes to mind when you hear "Blonde Bombshell"?
Would it be Marilyn Monroe?

Or maybe Scarlett Johansson?
How about Miss Beyonce?

Well once you taste the newest addition to the collection you will never have another thought when you hear "Blonde Bombshell". This cupcake is the hottest thing this season. It's a must have item this spring.

Have you ever had a Blondie?
My Blonde Bombshell is the Blondie's sexy cousin from out of town.
She is a moist cake flavored with brown sugar and jazzed up with Heath toffee chips, frosted with white chocolate cream cheese frosting and, hello, topped off with a caramel drizzle.
You can't help but to close your eyes and bite it slow, take a deep breath and enjoy!

And the award goes to...

Oh my goodness, oh my goodness, oh my goodness!
Though the Oscars are not until Sunday, I am walking the red carpet right now.
To accept my Bloggy Award that is. The fabulousy creative Monique over at Enchanted Expectations was inspired by lil' old me and was so inclined to give me a Bloggy. So sweet especially coming form her. She is an amazing, and supremely creative party planner. She maps out everything for her clients and really has an eye for out of the box designs. In one word, she's Awesome! You know that's my favorite word. One of my favorite things on her site is the Rock Star Inspiration Board.

My daughter would love it!

Anyway, if you're in the Maryland area and are looking for an excellent party planner check her out.

Johnny Cupcakes- 0 Carbs! 0 Sugars! 0 Fat!

In one of my searches for cupcake paraphernalia, I came across a site called Johnny Cupcakes. Now you may not know this, but I have a sweet spot for men who cook, especially those that bake. So, I though could it really be a man who bakes cupcakes?
I was so intrigued as I clicked the link to this Johnny Cupcake's page. I just knew it would be some awesome cupcake bakery that boasted manly cupcakes flavors named after cars or video games or something.
To my surprize as the link opened up it was not a bakery at all, it was a clothing shop. I was instantly hungry  to know more about this Johnny Cupcakes guy. So I scrolled and I read and I scrolled some more. I mean really, what more could I want, this is the fusion of the two things I love most after my family... fashion and cupcakes, duh.
I must know more.

So, who is/what is this Johnny Cupcakes?

Johnny is a former teenage prankster and college dropout, who started out designing pens and buttons for bands and business. While working he would wear his Johnny Cupcakes tee shirts; people started asking for them and it took off from there. The logo for this cool company is a cupcake and cross bones, yup just like the skull and cross bones. Awesome!!!! They make clothing for men, women and children, or girls, guys, and kids as it says on their site. Using bakery boxes instead of bags to package their goods gives the feel of a real bakery. The size chart on their site is listed like nutritional facts. They even donned chef outfits and gave out real cupcakes for their first trade show. I am so in love with this idea.

Even though Johnny didn't turn out to be some great male cupcake baker, I'm glad I stumbled upon his site. it's cupcake couture for sure. If you don't aalready know about him it is a must that you check it out.
They have a blog as well.

Baby Shower for Dilan

This weekend's BCC busy-ness took us to Baltimore, MD for a friends shower. We did the cutest boy color scheme of brown, blue, and green. Super cute! (A cute equivalent for a baby girl would be brown, yellow, and pink, very sweet.)
Anywho, Everything went well and the cupcakes and favors were a hit.

Better late than never...

I've been keeping busy while we were getting all dolled up. It took a while, but as I mentioned in Snowed in..., I had some V Day cupcake sets to make to be sold in a store. Well, then the snow storms hit and sadly, the cupcakes never made it to the store. But I sold each and every box anyway. Here's what they looked like.
