The beautiful Kardashian girls are representing for their favorite cupcakes.
Famous Cupcakes! One day I'll have celebrity representation like this.
I do love those Kardashian girls!

Drum Roll Please...

The lights go down in the room and a hush comes over the crowd as the beat of the music gets louder. The spotlight hits center stage and the show begins.
So dramatic! Forgive me, sometimes my imagination gets the best of me!
Well guys this is like my fashion week, the release of the first item in my collection. And she is a show stopper. Allow me to introduce Ms. "Cocoa" Chanel. She is a wonderful moist chocolate cupcake topped with oreo cookies and cream icing and one simple cherry.

After all a cupcake should be two things... classy and fabulous!

Let me introduce myself...

"It's never too late to be what you could've been. "
That quote sums it up for me.

My entire life I’ve had a fixation with the art of fashion. When I was around eight years old, I would design dresses for my Barbie dolls, sketch evening gowns on construction paper, and create fashion shows right in my very own paradise pink bedroom. It was plain and clear to my parents that I had a talent for the arts. So, they decided to nurture my nature and enrolled me into art classes, and then later, a Fine Arts program in high school.

I went on to attend The Art Institute of Philadelphia majoring in Fashion Design and Marketing. It was the best of both worlds encompassing the arts and the fashion; this must have been where I belonged. It just so happened that the Culinary Institute was also located in the same building where my fashion and marketing classes were held. Going from class to class the aroma of the day’s lesson wafted through the air. I quite often found myself staring through the studio windows of their classroom/kitchen. However, my love of food did not start there… it has been a love affair for as long as I can remember!

My grandmother, the beautiful and talented Mrs. Lowery, is an old fashioned southern woman who has exhibited her love for her friends and family through food her entire life. Southern cooking is her gift. So many of my childhood memories are surrounded with being in my grandmother’s kitchen, and this was where that passion for food began. Whether I was her little helper or just watching to see what little secret ingredient she would throw into the mix, either way, I just loved to be there. She cooked from scratch always. No mixes no boxed meals, ever!

In high school I began to explore the art of baking and oatmeal raisin cookies were my first hit. As time went on and I began to cook for my own family I found that it gave me great pleasure to see the satisfaction in their faces from the enjoyment of what I had prepared for them. That trait I know I inherited from the beautiful and talented Mrs. Lowery.Through the years, working and taking care of your families, sometimes you lose sight of your dreams. You have the good job that pays you bills, but in the back of your mind you just want more. That feeling is what helped me find my path. That path lead straight to Babycakes Couture Sweets.Babycakes Couture Sweets is a culmination of my passion for fashion, my love of baking, and all things sweet. The cupcakes are my signature line, along with the other equally delectable lines I have created an amazing dessert collection for all to enjoy.

Welcome!

If you've ever wondered if there was a connection between fashion and cupcakes... this is the site for you.

Feel free to express all of your cupcake fantasies and dessert desires.
I will try them all to build up my arsenal of couture recipies.
